Family Guardian was founded in 1965 by three insurance professionals who recognized the need for a uniquely Bahamian insurance company, capable of meeting the needs of a growing Bahamian population.

For over 43 years, Family Guardian has helped Bahamians plan for their future with a broad range of life insurance and investment products offered through its three sales divisions: Home Service, Financial Services and Group Life and Health.

With sales offices in New Providence, Grand Bahama, Abaco, Eleuthera and Exuma, Family Guardian also has resident sales representatives in Andros,Long Island, Cat Island, San Salvador and Acklins.

Family Guardian Corporate Centre, home to the company’s administrative and technical staff, is situated at the junction of East Bay Street, Village Road and Shirley Street Nassau.

The Family Guardian Financial Centre, at the corner of East Bay and Church Streets, is home to BahamaHealth Group Operations, the Financial Services Division and Client Services.

Family Guardian is a wholly-owned subsidiary of FamGuard Corporation Limited, a publicly traded company listed with the Bahamas International Securities Exchange (BISX).
